Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the Patient Watch service (the “Service”). By accessing and using the Service, you agree to be bound by these conditions. These Terms of Use constitute a legal agreement between you and us, governing your use of the Service accessible through our website https://patient-watch.com (the “Website”) as a registered user.

Acceptance of Terms
By checking the box to begin using the Service, you confirm your acceptance of these Terms of Use and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service.
Additional Terms
These Terms of Use incorporate our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we process personal data. Your use of the Service implies consent to this processing, and you must ensure the accuracy of the data you provide.
Who is Collecting the Data
Patient Watch Medical Ltd is the data controller responsible for collecting and processing your personal data in all instances when the patient signs up to the service independently. When another organisation, such as an NHS trust, insurer or clinic adds the patient to the service, the trust, insurer or clinic is the data controller. For any inquiries regarding your data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer at info@patient-watch.com.
Why the Data is Being Collected
We collect your personal data to provide and improve our services, comply with legal obligations, conduct marketing communications (with your consent), support direct care, and support authorised audit, service evaluation, registry activity, research, post-market surveillance, and clinical trial activity. Depending on the context, this may also include producing or licensing pseudonymised or aggregated reporting, analytics, and evidence outputs for healthcare and life sciences organisations where permitted by law, contract, ethics approvals, and applicable governance requirements. The legal bases for processing your data include your consent, performance of a contract, legal obligations, and legitimate interests.
Who the Data Will be Shared With
Your data may be shared with third-party service providers such as payment processors, analytics providers, hosting providers, messaging providers, and marketing partners to assist us in providing and improving our services. We ensure that these third parties adhere to strict data protection standards. Data may also be shared with regulatory authorities if required by law.
Where permitted by law, contract, ethics approval, controller instructions, and applicable governance requirements, data may also be shared with healthcare providers, academic institutions, contract research organisations, trial sponsors, pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, medical device companies, and other healthcare or life sciences partners for audit, service evaluation, registry activity, post-market surveillance, research, or clinical trial purposes.
We do not sell directly identifiable personal data. Where permitted, anonymised, aggregated, or appropriately pseudonymised datasets, analyses, and outputs may be disclosed or licensed for healthcare, research, or commercial life sciences purposes, subject to contractual and governance controls designed to restrict re-identification and onward use.
How Long the Data Will be Retained
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Criteria for determining retention periods include the duration of our relationship with you, legal requirements, and the necessity of retaining data for legitimate business purposes.
Grant and Scope of License
In consideration of your agreement to these Terms of Use, we grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service. We retain all other rights, and the Service and its materials remain our property.
Usage Guidelines
You may use the Website for your own lawful internal personal or professional purposes. Compliance with technology control and export laws is required.
