About the Walking Function
Walking Function is a single-item patient-reported measure of current walking ability. It uses a 0-10 scale with clearly labelled anchors, where higher scores indicate better walking function.

Administration Instructions
Move the slider to indicate your current walking function. The left side (0) represents unable to walk, and the right side (10) represents normal walking.
Scoring Methodology
Walking function is rated on a 0-10 scale, where 0 represents unable to walk and 10 represents normal walking. The item is tracked as a single score rather than combined with subscales.
Meaningful Change Threshold
A change of 2 points on the 0-10 scale is generally considered clinically meaningful.
Score Interpretation
Understanding what your score means
unable
0 - 2Severely limited or unable to walk.
poor
3 - 4Poor walking function with significant limitations.
moderate
5 - 6Moderate walking function with some limitations.
good
7 - 8Good walking function with minor limitations.
normal
9 - 10Normal or near-normal walking function.
Clinical Limitations & Considerations
As a subjective self-report measure, scores may be influenced by recall bias and patient expectations. This assessment should be used as part of a comprehensive clinical assessment.
